We are getting involved with the Midget AAA

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that we have seized the opportunity to lend our support to the Ligue de développement du hockey Midget AAA du Québec.

Indeed, each year for the past twenty-six years, the Ken Dryden trophy has been awarded to the most promising young goaltender of the Ligue de développement du hockey Midget AAA du Québec. This award, now known as the Ken Dryden-Place Montréal Trust trophy, comes with a $1,000 scholarship to motivate young people in achieving their dreams. Several recipients of the trophy have reached the professional ranks and have played in the NHL; among them, Mathieu Garon, Martin Biron, Stéphane Fiset and Jean-Sébastien Giguère.

Place Montréal Trust is also adding two new development bursaries, each worth $5,000, to be awarded to young players of the Ligue de développement du hockey Midget AAA du Québec. These bursaries will allow them to continue practicing hockey with the Midget AAA du Québec while pursuing their high school or college education. The first scholarship is presented to one or more students already enrolled in college while the second goes to one or more high school or cegep students whose income does not allow them to pursue both their education and their participation in hockey.

Place Montréal Trust is honoured to offer Quebec’s young hockey players a chance to make their dreams come true and hopes to provide continued support to this association for many years to come. Who knows, our involvement could help one of our youths become the National Hockey League’s next great goaltender!
